It’s official, Kirby Smart is building something special in Athens.

After landing the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the nation, the No. 1 offensive guard, the No. 2 offensive guard, the No. 1 running back, and the No. 3 running back, just to name a few, the Bulldogs have just added the best prospect out of Knoxville Tennessee in recent memory by landing five-star offensive lineman Cade Mays.

Mays made the announcement live on ESPNU during ESPN Signing Day coverage.

The 6-foot-6, 318-pound offensive lineman had been committed to Tennessee for a several years before decommitting toward the end of the Butch Jones era. His addition helps Georgia land arguably the best offensive line haul of the 2018 recruiting cycle — the Bulldogs now have two five-stars, two four-stars and a three-star lineman signed.

Georgia now has 20 total commits with 14 signees once Mays signs his scholarship papers. The Bulldogs currently have the nation’s No. 2 overall recruiting class according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
