Big flips late in the recruiting cycle are becoming a tradition in the Kirby Smart era at Georgia.

The latest big get for the Bulldogs is 4-star WR Jermaine Burton, who was pledged to LSU. The Calabasas, California wideout, originally from the Atlanta area, measures over 6-feet, 190 pounds and is rated the No. 6 California product, No. 8 wide receiver and No. 52 recruit overall nationally in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite.

Burton, an Under Armour All-Am had committed to LSU on April 20, 2019, but visited Oregon (Oct. 11), Arizona State (Dec. 6) and, most recently, UGA (Dec. 13). It appears the Bulldogs staff managed to flip him on the recent visit to Athens.

With Burton on board, Georgia’s 2020 class is now up to 18 commitments. It is currently ranked No. 3 in the SEC and No. 5 nationally on the Composite.
