The Georgia Bulldogs have had a tough time with players leaving via the NCAA transfer portal this offseason, but good news came on Tuesday evening.

That’s because an in-state point guard in the 2021 recruiting class announced his commitment to the Bulldogs program.

As you can see below, Christian Wright — a 3-star point guard out of Alpharetta, Georgia — announced his pledge to Tom Crean’s program via Twitter:

Wright had previously been committed to Rick Pitino’s Iona squad, but he will now apparently stay closer to home.

This decision comes hours after Georgia star PG Sahvir Wheeler declared for the 2021 NBA Draft while also entering the transfer portal.
