Georgia lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night, ending its 33-game home winning streak in the process. The Bulldogs hadn’t lost since falling to South Carolina 20-17 on Oct. 12, 2019.
The Bulldogs had the longest home winning streak in the country, and it was 11 games longer than the second longest streak, Washington. Ironically, the Huskies saw their streak end as well on Saturday, as they lost to Ohio State.
With both of those ending, Oregon now has the longest streak in the country with 18 games. The longest in the SEC though resides in Columbia as the Missouri Tigers have won 15 consecutive home games.
The Tigers are 5-0 on the season, and will look to continue that streak on Oct. 11 against the same team that ended Georgia‘s streak, Alabama.
Mizzou’s last home loss came back in October of 2023 to LSU. Since the start of the 2024 season, the Tigers have won their home games by an average of 22.4 points per game.
