Georgia stars Trevor Etienne, Dan Jackson named top practice performers at Senior Bowl

Georgia is looking to produce another strong crop of NFL Draft selections this spring, and two former Bulldogs have been putting up strong outings all week long in Mobile.

This week, draft hopefuls are taking part in the Reese’s Senior Bowl. Team practices have been going on all week long, along with interviews with NFL teams and personnel.

On Friday, it was confirmed that the Georgia football duo of Trevor Etienne and Dan Jackson were both honored as top performers from the week of practices. Etienne was selected as the top running back for the American Team in a vote by the linebackers and safeties.

As for Jackson, he was named the top safety on the American Team. His honor was voted on by the wide receiver and tight end position groups.

Etienne of course began his career at Florida before transferring to play for Kirby Smart in the 2024 season. He was limited by injury to 10 games this season but led the Bulldogs with 9 rushing touchdowns and finished 2nd with 609 rushing yards.

Defensively, Jackson was Georgia’s 3rd-leading tackler this season with 64 stops. He also finished 2nd on the team with 2 interceptions and had 3 pass breakups as a hard-hitting safety in the middle of the defense.
