Georgia and Ole Miss faced are meeting on Thursday night in the Sugar Bowl with the winner moving on to the College Football Playoff semifinals to take on the Miami Hurricanes in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 8.

The two teams played an incredible game during the regular season, and that was the case on Saturday night for much of the first half.

With the Bulldogs leading 14-12 late in the second quarter, Ole Miss star running back Kewan Lacy fumbled the ball. Georgia defensive back Daylen Everette, who has become a legend in Athens for his ability to make a big play in big games, made another one as he recovered the fumble and took it 47 yards to give the Bulldogs some breathing room.

In last year’s SEC Championship game against Texas, Everette had two interceptions to help the Bulldogs get the win.

Everette has been one of the best players for Georgia the past couple of seasons, but he has shown the ability to step up in the biggest moments. If the Bulldogs are going to go on a deep run and potentially win the national championship, Everette figures to make his presence felt with a couple more big plays.
