Michael Barnett’s time as an offensive lineman didn’t last long.

The sophomore was practicing with the defensive line during practice Monday, undoing a position change he made two weeks ago during Georgia’s off week. The 6-foot-2, 292-pound defensive lineman practiced at offensive tackle for two weeks before reverting to his original spot.

The move was likely enacted because sophomore defensive tackle DaQuan Hawkins-Muckle suffered a high ankle sprain against Florida last week. Barnett played in seven games last year but hasn’t recorded a snap in 2016, nor did he travel with the team last Saturday.
