Auburn is getting closer to having a new football performance center on campus, and it’s going to have quite a few exciting additions for the Tigers.

On Friday, Auburn shared renderings and blueprints for the facility, as the design process has concluded and the project is “now open for bidding,” per Nathan King of 247Sports.com. Among the features of the facility are indoor and outdoor practice fields, a locker room, an auditorium, weight rooms, hydrotherapy pools, a kitchen, lounge spaces, game rooms, a barbershop, recording studios and a flight simulator.

If you’re wondering what some of those features are going to look like, King shared some of the renderings and blueprints on Twitter:

The football performance center was approved in September 2019, and it broke ground on Biggio Drive off West Samford Avenue. It’s expected to cost “north of $60 million,” per King, and is being financed by gift funds and university general revenue bonds, with the debt on those being paid out of the athletic department’s funds.

Auburn is holding a pre-bid conference on Jan. 9 and the contract to build the performance center will be handed out on Feb. 9.
