Graphic shows how many SEC players have been picked in the MLB Draft over time

Much like the NFL Draft, the SEC usually has several players taken in the early rounds of every year’s MLB Draft.
But, which schools have had the most players picked over the years? Well, the Twitter account @GradBaseball put together a convenient graphic to answer that very question.
Below, you can see how the numbers change over time, with Texas A&M coming out on top, providing 258 of the 2,794 total picks from the SEC:

Georgia comes in at only 158 players drafted, 100 fewer than the Aggies. Arkansas is No. 2 with 240 draftees.
This year’s MLB Draft will only be 5 rounds. How many players from the SEC will hear their names called? We’ll find out soon enough.
