Based on this interaction, you have to wonder if A.J. is taking the news as poorly as his brother.

Corey McCarron called out former Alabama quarterback and ESPN college football analyst Greg McElroy following a recent Cleveland radio interview regarding the Browns current options at quarterback. After discussing several draft prospects the Browns could potentially take, McElroy was asked about the prospects of Cleveland pursuing A.J. McCarron.

The ESPN analyst kept things objective and noted that previous free agent QBs such as Brock Osweiler and Mike Glennon — who each have similar attributes and experience compared to McCarron — flamed out after landing huge free agent deals. Given that history, McElroy said he had concerns McCarron could do the same.

Corey McCarron took issue with those comments are responded with some of his own. While McElroy tried to keep things objective, A.J.’s brother took another route. McElroy followed up with his own comments:

McElroy’s original on-air comments were somewhat surprising, even the Cleveland radio hosts from Bull & Fox on Sports Radio 92.3 The Fan, were surprised by how honest and forthcoming McCarron’s former teammate when discussing the subject. In the end, McElroy was just doing his job, no matter who was hurt by his analysis.
