Greg McElroy raved about the performance of Brock Bowers against Auburn as Georgia improved to 5-0 on the 2023 season.

After a slow 1st half, Bowers finished with 8 catches for 157 yards, including a pair of terrific catches and a go-ahead score from 40 yards out with less than 3 minutes remaining as the Bulldogs survived with a 27-20 win at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“Brock Bowers is ridiculous. He continues to do things that are just beyond comprehension,” McElroy said on his “Always College Football” podcast. “He’s so athletic, he’s so difficult to cover. The run after the catch. Just an amazing, an amazing player. An amazing performance.”

Bowers is a presumptive Top 10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, if not Top 5. Saturday’s outing showed why the junior tight end came into the season ranked so high on draft boards.

“He basically said, ‘I’m taking this thing.’ Little end-breaking route, he takes it the distance,” McElroy said of Bowers’ touchdown. “One of about four plays that are just highlight reel-worthy that you’re going to get from him.”
