Auburn has done it again, the Tigers have taken down the No. 1 team in the nation. However, this time it wasn’t Georgia that Auburn took down, it was Alabama in the Iron Bowl by a score of 26 to 14.
Immediately after the game, Gus Malzahn shared his thoughts on his program’s second win over the top-ranked team in the nation.
“It’s unbelievable, it’s hard to do two out of three weeks, play the No. 1 team and get up again. Our guys did it, we beat them handily.”
What has clicked for this team in the second half?
“Just playing good football. Very few teams play their best football this time of the year and we are one of them… This is a big moment for us, we’re on our way.”
How impressive was your QB?
“He made plays with his feet, didn’t he? Made some great throws. I’m so proud of our team. Our defense, that quarterback is unbelievable.”
