Harrison Bailey, former Tennessee QB, announces he will transfer from UNLV

Harrison Bailey transferred from Rocky Top in 2021, landing at UNLV. The former 4-star QB and top-100 recruit was championed by many to be a savior for a Vols club that had seen Jarrett Guarantano captain the offense from 2017 to 2020.
But Bailey never did live up to the hype at Tennessee. He had a few good outings, but ultimately Pruitt’s refusal to get him into the starting lineup sooner made it tough for Josh Heupel to justify playing him over Joe Milton III or Hendon Hooker in 2021. Following Tennessee’s 2021 win over Kentucky, Bailey entered the portal.
Now Bailey is back in the portal after 1 full season at UNLV.

Bailey threw for 318 yards and 2 touchdowns this past season, with most of UNLV’s QB reps coming from Doug Brumfield. And after what is assumed to be another spring out of the starting role, he’ll look elsewhere.
Don’t read too much into this but… Florida does need a QB!
