Hugh Freeze responds to social media criticism from former Ole Miss QB Bo Wallace
Hugh Freeze was lit up over the weekend on social media, receiving a heavy dose of criticism from one of his former quarterbacks at Ole Miss, Bo Wallace.
The comments from Wallace, who played for Freeze for 3 seasons in Oxford – a stretch from 2012 through 2014, where Wallace played in all 39 games – came after Freeze’s new team, Auburn, lost at home to Arkansas 24-14.
Wallace took aim at Freeze after the former Rebels’ quarterback felt like he threw Auburn’s quarterbacks under the bus in his post-game press conference.
“Why is it someone else’s fault every time there’s a loss?” Wallace wrote on X.
Freeze was finally asked about Wallace’s comments on Wednesday. He said he talked with Wallace and called him “probably the most important recruit I ever had at Ole Miss.”
