Hugh Freeze got heated in the middle of Auburn’s matchup against Arkansas for what he thought was a missed holding call.

Despite Freeze giving the officials a piece of his mind on what he thought should have been an obvious flag, there was not one thrown. It appears that Freeze is saying that he thought one of his players was “suplexed” by an Arkansas defender.

Here’s a look at the play that the controversial no-call occurred and Freeze’s reaction to it:

The missed flag was perhaps the least of Auburn’s concerns looking back at the game as a whole, considering the poor play at quarterback from Hank Brown, who was benched after throwing 3 interceptions and some questionable play-calling, just to name a couple of things.

“They’re not defined by performance as an individual,” Freeze said of Brown after the game. “He did not play well in the first half. Missed open guys, threw the ball into coverage, so we’re not doing a very good job coaching quarterbacks right now.“

It will be interesting to watch what Freeze chooses to do moving forward, though it’s clear Auburn has a lot of fixing to do. The Tigers face Oklahoma in Week 5.
