Hugh Freeze benches Jackson Arnold after horrible pick-6

Jackson Arnold has been benched in favor of Ashton Daniels after throwing a back-breaking Pick 6 at the end of the first half against Arkansas. This is the 2nd straight season Arnold, a former 5-star prospect, has been benched for poor performance.
Here’s a look at the throw that sealed the deal for Arnold following what was a promising start to the game. Auburn scored 10 points but went completely cold against what has been one of the worst defenses in the SEC in the 2nd quarter.

The Tigers trail 21-10 entering the halftime break, despite Auburn leading 10-0 to start this one. Arnold threw for 73 yards on 7/12 completions with 1 touchdown and the above interception in what is assumed to be his final line for the afternoon.
Daniels was very up and down at Stanford last season, and he’s now made his first appearance with the Tigers after transferring in this past offseason. The former Cardinal QB threw for 1,700 yards, 10 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season.
The new Tigers QB completed his first pass for 8 yards, but expect the Tigers to attempt to lean on running back Jeremiah Cobb, who is up to 79 yards rushing entering the halftime break.
