For some reason, people continue to give Harvey Updyke attention.
The latest example of this comes from Mo Rocca’s “Mobituaries” podcast, which is set to release an episode on Updyke and his infamous story of poisoning the trees at Auburn. Updyke poisoned the trees at Auburn following the 2010 Iron Bowl featuring Auburn comeback in Tuscaloosa led by Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton.
Updyke apparently met with Rocca to discuss the incident on the podcast. “I wanted Auburn people to hate me as much as I hated them,” Updyke’s voice can be heard saying in the video preview.
Here is the preview, which Rocca shared on Thursday:
I spent the day with Harvey Updyke, the Alabama fan who poisoned Auburn University’s beloved Toomer’s Oak Trees, for the newest episode of #Mobituaries, to be released tomorrow. Here’s a preview: pic.twitter.com/cq2AC5MFGu
