Alabama and LSU have had some classic games in recent history, and this year’s matchup is setting up to be a good one.
The LSU Tigers beat the Auburn Tigers 22-21 on a last-second field goal in Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday, and now, we have to start looking at LSU as a real challenger in the West, right?
Paul Finebaum joined SportsCenter Sunday morning to weigh in on the Bayou Bengals.

“Is LSU suddenly a challenger to Alabama?” Paul asked. “You have to think that they are, and think about this — this is the second year in a row that Gus Malzahn has blown a double-digit lead to LSU.”
Finebaum acknowledged that although it’s rather brutal, the schedule is setting up pretty well for LSU, and getting Alabama and Georgia at home is a big deal at this point.
“LSU has Georgia and Alabama at home coming up,” Finebaum said. “Auburn has to go to Georgia and Alabama; so, they were not going to win those games anyway.”
Alabama travels to LSU on Saturday, November 3, and it’s setting up to be a great game.
