Vanderbilt is playing a doubleheader on Monday afternoon to open its 2021 season after the season-opener against Wright State was postponed.
The Commodores opened up the year with Kumar Rocker pitching the team to a 14-1 victory. Then, in Game 2 on Monday, Jack Leiter took the mound.
As you can see below, he is looking strong to start the season. After falling behind 2-0 on the third batter of the first inning, he came back with some pinpoint fastballs that nearly touched 100 mph to strike out the hitter:

Rocker and Leiter will form one of the best 1-2 combos in any college rotation. Rocker might be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft.
If Leiter keeps this up, he’ll be an elite draft pick, too.
