Jahleel Billingsley’s college career has reportedly taken another turn. According to On3’s Jason Wells, the Texas tight end “is no longer with the program”.

Billingsley, a 4-star recruit from the class of 2019, signed with Alabama, where he remained for 3 seasons. He played in 9 games in 2019 before totaling 35 catches for 543 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2020 and 2021.

However, he had repeated run-ins with Nick Saban, missing parts of the 2021 preseason and being criticized by the Crimson Tide head coach for not taking advantage of the opportunities being given to him.

He eventually entered the transfer portal and landed at Texas, but was suspended for 6 games for an incident that occurred at Alabama, per head coach Steve Sarkisian. He did play in 4 games but made just 3 catches for 38 yards.

It appears that Billingsley is now bound for his 3rd college program. We’ll see what the next step of his journey looks like and if he can do what’s needed to get a promising career back on track.
