It took 2 offensive series for Jalen Hurts to throw his first NFL touchdown pass for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Green Bay Packers.
Hurts replaced starter Carson Wentz in the second half, and the former Oklahoma and Alabama signal caller threw a beautiful 32-yard touchdown pass to receiver Greg Ward to cut Green Bay’s lead to 23-10 with under 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
It was vintage Jalen Hurts, too, as the quarterback rolled out of the pocket and threw a dime on the run.
The touchdown pass came on a 4th and 18 play:
Jalen Hurts’ first career TD pass comes on a 4th & 18 dime on the corner of the end zone.
Beautiful toss from the rookie. #HesAQuarterback

Hurts definitely provided a spark for the Eagles offense Sunday, and it’ll be interesting to see how the Hurts-Wentz battle goes in the near-future.
However, there’s definitely a quarterback controversy in Philadelphia now.
