Some of the best wide receivers in the NFL went to LSU — Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Justin Jefferson and others.

When the Cincinnati Bengals picked LSU WR Ja’Marr Chase with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, they were hoping he’d be the next great LSU receiver.

On Saturday night against the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chase made his first NFL catch. As you can see below, he took a wide receiver screen pass 16 yards for a first down:

Joe Burrow, the Bengals’ starting quarterback and Chase’s college QB at LSU, isn’t playing in Saturday night’s game as he continues to rehab a knee injury.

But, when Burrow is healthy, the Bengals are expecting big things from the former LSU teammates.
