Jaxson Moi, David Sanders status listed on availability report for Tennessee vs. Georgia
Jaxson Moi and David Sanders have both been listed as questionable for No. 15 Tennessee‘s home SEC showdown against No. 6 Georgia on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville.
Both are critical players for head coach Josh Heupel‘s team along the line of scrimmage. Moi is a starting defensive tackle, and Sanders is a projected starting offensive lineman, so the duo’s ability to be available for the Volunteers would be a big deal as Tennessee tries to get to 3-0.
Moi suffered an upper-body injury in the first quarter of the Volunteers’ season opener against Syracuse, while Sanders has yet to play yet this season, missing the wins over Syracuse and East Tennessee State.
The Bulldogs and Vols will be looking to begin their SEC slate with a victory in a battle of 2-0 teams at Neyland Stadium, but there’s a possibility that Tennessee will again be shorthanded along its offensive and defensive lines.
The SEC released the availability report for Georgia and Tennessee on Wednesday night, with Moi and Sanders at the center of the Volunteers’ concern. Another crucial player that Heupel’s team could be missing is defensive lineman Tyree Weathersby, who is also listed as questionable along with Moi and Sanders.
Here is the full availability report for the Dawgs and Vols, who will kick it off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC on Saturday:
