Jaylen Waddle scored his first touchdown of 2023 on Sunday.

Tua Tagovailoa found his former Alabama teammate in the first quarter of Miami’s game against the New York Giants to get the Dolphins on the board.

The first score of the season calls for a special celebration. Waddle’s teammates wound him up before he did a penguin waddle.

A former first-round pick, Waddle is in his third professional season. Entering Sunday’s Week 5 contest, Waddle had been targeted 16 times, recording 12 catches for 210 yards. Sunday is Waddle’s first home game of the season.

Waddle missed Miami’s Week 3 home opener against Denver while in concussion protocol. It was a bad game to miss as a member of the Miami offense. The Dolphins put up a record 70 points in the contest.

In the first half at Hard Rock Stadium, Waddle has been targeted 3 times, posting 2 catches for 22 yards with the score. The Dolphins lead 14-10 as Tagovailoa is 9-of-12 for 152 yards with the 1 passing touchdown and 1 interception.

Waddle and the Dolphins can be watched on FOX.
