The Florida Gators are just a week away from holding its annual Orange and Blue Spring Game, and prior to Friday’s scrimmage, McElwain met with the media.

Here are the notable updates:

After an injury-plagued 2015 spring game, which was really a glorified practice, Florida will hold a more formal spring game next Friday, McElwain ensured.

Two very interesting freshmen playmakers all Florida fans are looking forward to seeing are receivers Freddie Swain and Josh Hammond. Both players could be impact-type receivers in 2016.

Florida is counting on cornerback Jalen Tabor to step up and become a bonafide leader in 2016, especially after losing Vernon Hargreaves at the position.
