Jimbo Fisher has plenty of talent up and down the Texas A&M roster entering the 2022 season.
Now, he just needs to make sure he gets the QB position right. This spring, Haynes King, LSU transfer Max Johnson and freshman Conner Weigman are battling it out for the job.
After a windy spring game on Saturday, Fisher weighed in on the state of Texas A&M’s quarterbacks. He said there were several drops, so he won’t be able to properly assess the QB play until later:
Jimbo Fisher on QB's: "We had quite a few drops. I won't be able to judge until after I watch the film, but nothing spectacular."

As far as Johnson goes, Fisher said the LSU transfer is a better athlete than people know. He added that Johnson has had a solid spring:
Jimbo Fisher on Max Johnson: "He runs better than people give him credit for. He has had a solid spring. Last scrimmage he really threw the ball well."
