Jimbo Fisher praises spring performance of 5-star freshman QB Conner Weigman

Jimbo Fisher has a big decision to make at the quarterback position as the Texas A&M Aggies inch closer to the start of the 2022 season.
Most analysts believe Haynes King and Max Johnson are the frontrunners for the job, but 5-star freshman Conner Weigman will have his say in the matter, too.
On Wednesday, Fisher praised the performance of Weigman this spring, saying he’s impressed by how Weigman adjusts to the speed of the game:

Fisher adds that Weigman’s ability to slow down and speed up his hands and legs is extremely impressive.

Weigman was the No. 2 quarterback prospect in the class of 2022 and the No. 25 player overall, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
It would be a bit of a surprise if he won the starting job this fall as a true freshman, but stranger things have certainly happened!
