Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies have a quarterback battle on their hands this spring.

In the mix are incumbent starter Haynes King, LSU transfer Max Johnson and incoming freshman Conner Weigman.

On Tuesday, after a spring practice session, Fisher weighed in on the battle thus far, saying all 3 guys have made plays so far and adding that he expects the competition to continue into the summer:

Fisher also had praise for Weigman, saying the freshman has a calmness and maturity about him so far:

King was named the Aggies’ starter prior to the 2021 season, but suffered an injury in Week 2 and missed the rest of the year. We’ll see if he can earn the QB1 spot again this summer.
