Jimbo Fisher shares the latest on Texas A&M’s spring QB battle

Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies have a quarterback battle on their hands this spring.
In the mix are incumbent starter Haynes King, LSU transfer Max Johnson and incoming freshman Conner Weigman.
On Tuesday, after a spring practice session, Fisher weighed in on the battle thus far, saying all 3 guys have made plays so far and adding that he expects the competition to continue into the summer:

Jimbo Fisher says he expects the quarterback battle to continue into the fall.
Went on to add that all three quarterbacks made plays in the most recent scrimmage.

Fisher also had praise for Weigman, saying the freshman has a calmness and maturity about him so far:

King was named the Aggies’ starter prior to the 2021 season, but suffered an injury in Week 2 and missed the rest of the year. We’ll see if he can earn the QB1 spot again this summer.
