Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow has shown he is fitting right in in the NFL.

His success at LSU has carried over, having already set a rookie record by throwing for over 300 yards in each of his first three games. Baltimore Ravens quarterback and defending NFL MVP Lamar Jackson even took notice, as the Ravens defense prepares to face Burrow and the Bengals on Sunday.

Burrow had some kind words of his own for Jackson when he spoke to the media on Wednesday.

“You know, I’m excited to compete against him,” said Burrow. “He’s, obviously, one of the best players in the league right now, going back the last two, three years. He’s unbelievable. He’s fun to watch.”

Jackson’s electric playmaking capabilities may have even impacted Burrow’s preparation early on in his rookie season.

“When you watch teams that play him, I catch myself watching Lamar instead of watching the defense that I’m studying and I have to go back and rewatch the game because I’m like, ‘Shoot, I just watched Lamar the whole time. I didn’t get anything from that hour of tape.’ So he’s an unbelievable player. I’m excited to compete against him.

“I am excited to compete against Lamar for years to come,” continued Burrow. “Excited to meet him as well.”

The two former Heisman Trophy winners will go head-to-head when the Ravens and Bengals face off for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday.
