Joe Burrow is off to a strong start in his NFL career, and he’s been garnering attention for his impressive play. Even the reigning NFL MVP appears to have taken notice.

Ahead of this Sunday’s matchup against Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson shared praise for the former LSU quarterback and last year’s Heisman Trophy winner.

“I like his game,” Jackson said, according to Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com. “Obviously he broke records for passing yards in consecutive weeks. That’s dope. But I don’t wish him success against us. I want to win.”

As Jackson mentioned, Burrow became the first rookie quarterback to throw for 300-plus yards in three straight games. Last week, he also notched his first NFL win, leading the Bengals to a 33-25 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He passed for 300 yards and a touchdown in the contest.

Through the first four weeks of his NFL career, Burrow has passed for 1,121 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions. Despite having high expectations after being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, he’s living up to them early in the season.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to LSU fans, who watched Burrow pass for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns while leading the Tigers to a perfect 15-0 record and the national championship last season.

Now, Burrow will look to continue his strong start to his rookie NFL season with an upset win over Jackson’s Ravens. The AFC North rivals are set to kick off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
