Joel Klatt feels the College Football Playoff selection committee did its No. 1 team wrong.

The CFP’s full top 25 has not yet been revealed, but the 12-team bracket was revealed live on ESPN. The biggest storyline of the day was whether Alabama or SMU would snag the last spot. SMU got the 11-seed, while ACC champion Clemson is the 12-seed thanks to the auto-bids for the 5 conference champs.

FOX analyst Joel Klatt, however, wanted to first talk about something other than the SMU/Alabama debate. Klatt took to social media to share his reaction to No. 1 Oregon’s draw. With the way seeding played out, the Ducks are looking at one of the most difficult quarterfinal games against either 8-seed Ohio State or 9-seed Tennessee.

Klatt argues that 6-seed Penn State, which lost the Big Ten Championship Game to Oregon on Saturday night, facing 11-seed SMU in the first round for the opportunity to play 3-seed Boise State in the quarterfinals.
