John Calipari and Kentucky have settled on plans to play Indiana, as the Wildcats and Hoosiers will resume their border series in 2025-26, and the administrators will work out further details.
Calipari at SEC Media Day in Birmingham, Alabama shared the news that the series would re-start after it hasn’t been played since 2011. Indiana coach Mike Woodson has previously said he wants to see the game scheduled as well.
The Kentucky-Indiana series will return in 2025-26 season, says John Calipari.
“We’ve agreed in principle that we’ll be playing them.”

Kentucky and Indiana played each other in the regular season in 43 consecutive seasons — starting with the 1969-70 campaign — before the series was stopped in 2012.
The matchup was played primarily on home courts before transitioning to a neutral-site series — alternating between Louisville and Indianapolis over a 15-year period — starting with the 1991-92 season. UK and IU returned to playing on their home courts in 2006, with each program getting 3 home games before the end of the series, the Herald-Leader noted.
