John Calipari revealed Tuesday night that star freshman guard Cason Wallace injured his knee in shootaround, calling the injury a “contusion.”
Wallace has quietly been Kentucky’s best player this season not named Oscar Tshiebwe. He’s averaging over 11 points per game with around 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Wildcats take on Ole Miss Tuesday night at 9 p.m. EST. Because of his injury, Wallace has been reported to be out with Sahvir Wheeler taking his place starting point.
John Calipari says Cason Wallace hurt his knee in the shoot around today, calling it a “contusion.” Says that Sahvir Wheeler will start and that it “gives Adou (Thiero) more chance to play, kind of like we did up at Tennessee.”

Kentucky basketball has turned things around as of late every since a rough loss to South Carolina. The Wildcats are 4-1 since that point, only losing to No. 8 Kansas in the SEC/Big 12 challenge.
They take on a Ole Miss team that is 1-7 in SEC play Tuesday night.
