Johnathan Abram to miss rest of Raiders’ season with injury, per report

Johnathan Abram is one of the hardest hitters in the NFL, but that takes a toll on your shoulder.
The former Mississippi State star has been an integral part of the Las Vegas Raiders’ defense this season, but now his year is reportedly over.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Abram will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery this week. He reportedly tried to play through the injury, but doctors advised against it:
#Raiders safety Johnathan Abram will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery Thursday, per source. Abram hadn’t missed a snap prior to the injury and wanted to keep playing, but doctors advised him to shut it down. Will be fully healthy for 2022.

Per Pelissero’s tweet, Abram is expected to be fully ready for the 2022 season when it kicks off next fall.
In 14 games this year, Abram recorded 116 tackles (5 for a loss), 1 interception, 4 pass breakups and a fumble recovery.
