WATCH: Johnny Manziel’s first TD pass of Spring League was beautiful

Johnny Manziel made his Spring League debut Saturday.

It didn’t take the former Heisman Trophy winner long to find the end zone again either. Early reports said that Manziel would play the first and third quarters in an attempt to get multiple quarterbacks snaps, but it appears that the South team kept Manziel in to finish off the drive to start the second quarter.

The former first-round pick bought time with his legs (vintage Johnny) and made a beautiful acrobatic throw to hit his receiver in the corner of the end zone. Manziel’s TD pass put the South team up 7-3 over the North team. Prior to the game, Manziel was projected to see about 30 snaps Saturday.

The Spring League’s official Twitter account shared the TD:

Manziel’s last game was on December 27, 2015, when he completed 13 of 32 passes for 136 yards and one INT. The Cleveland Browns lost 17-13 to the Chiefs. Manziel hasn’t played in two seasons, but he’s attempting to make a comeback.
