Johnny Manziel is making headlines again after the recent release of Netflix’s “Untold: Johnny Football” documentary.
In the documentary, Manziel admitted to making money in violation of NCAA rules at the time. Manziel’s actions have reminded college football fans of other star players who were punished by the NCAA for impermissible benefits.
Social media posts comparing Manziel’s situation to the scandal involving Reggie Bush got the attention of the former Texas A&M quarterback. Manziel, who won the Heisman Trophy in 2012, made it clear that he believes Bush should get his Heisman back after having it taken away in the wake of the NCAA removing him from the record books.

The Heisman Trophy Trust released a statement on the status of Bush’s award in 2021. The Trust says it will return Bush’s Heisman if the NCAA ever reinstates his vacated records from the 2005 season.
