Johnny Manziel is currently raging his #ComebackSZN in an effort to return to the field following his early exit from the NFL. While he continues to work on his craft and get into peak physical form, the former Texas A&M quarterback still manages to have time to help support the school that served as the vehicle for his rise to stardom.

Everyone that knows college football understands the value of recruiting and Manziel is no different. Despite being hard at work trying to make his comeback, Manziel found the time to send a helpful reminder to Leon O’Neal Jr. about where he should go to school. The 2018 U.S. Army All-American is rated as the No. 8 safety in the nation and the No. 75 overall prospect according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The former Texas A&M commit has reopened his recruitment since Kevin Sumlin’s departure from the school but is still open to the Aggies. However, to land his signature, Texas A&M will have to keep O’Neal away from Clemson and Georgia.

Here’s Manziel’s pitch to O’Neal, sent Monday night:

O’Neal responded with his own message to Manziel:

Manziel’s reply indicated he’s not letting up:

If Texas A&M does land O’Neal on National Signing Day, Manziel deserves at least some credit for showing the Texan just how badly he’s wanted in College Station. Who knows, if the comeback attempt doesn’t work out for Manziel, he may have a future as a coach in some capacity in the future. It looks like he’s already got the recruiting aspect of the job down.
