In Thursday’s NBA Draft lottery selection, the New York Knicks ended up with the No. 8 overall pick, which wasn’t exactly what fans were hoping for.
However, in a draft that doesn’t have many stars, picking at No. 8 affords the Knicks a chance to get a guy who can still make an impact in the rotation.
As you can see below, CBS college basketball insider Jon Rothstein explains why Auburn forward Isaac Okoro would be a good fit with the Knicks:

Rothstein points out that Okoro already plays defense at an NBA level and is a coach’s dream because he doesn’t necessarily need the ball to be effective on offense.
If Okoro comes off the board at No. 8, he would potentially be the second SEC player drafted, behind Georgia guard (and potential No. 1 overall pick) Anthony Edwards.
