Tennessee now has top 10 recruiting class after landing 4-star center, North Carolina’s top prospect
Tennessee really needed to add a big man this offseason and Rick Barnes and company managed to do just that with the addition of 6-foot-11, Jonas Aidoo.
Aidoo, the No. 1 overall prospect from North Carolina, previously decommitted from Marquette and picked Tennessee over scholarship offers from Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Clemson, Kansas, West Virginia, and Witchia State, among others.
The 6-foot-11 Charlotte native is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 7 center in the country and the No. 60 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Following the addition of Aidoo, Tennessee now has a top 10 recruiting class and the No. 2 class in the SEC (behind only Kentucky).
Tennessee signed five-star guard Kennedy Chandler and four-star forward Jahmai Mashack while holding commitments from international prospect Quentin Diboundje Eyobo and Aidoo. The Vols also landed a commitment from former Auburn sharpshooter, Justin Powell.
