Jordan Davis for Heisman? Georgia fans praise star lineman after big-time block on offense

Jordan Davis is one of the best players in the country. The Georgia defensive lineman absolutely wrecks opposing teams on defense and special teams.
And, on Saturday, he also got a chance on offense. Not as a runner, which many fans want to see, but as a certified bulldozer of a blocker.
As you can see below, Davis (along with fellow star DL Jalen Carter) led the way for this easy 1-yard TD run by Zamir White:

He also had this highlight against a Mizzou offensive lineman, bulldozing him:

That, as you can understand, led to some fans hyping up Davis for the Heisman Trophy. He’s gotten some buzz already this year, and that intensified after his big first half:

Putting Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter in the game on short yardage should really be a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Georgia

Jordan Davis is the best player in the country. He also seems like a genuinely good dude. He’s got a fan man.

Putting Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter in to block on goal line runs feels unfair.

Davis doesn’t put up many stats, but his impact on the game is undeniable. We’ll see if Heisman voters respect him enough to get him an invitation to New York City for the Heisman ceremony in December or not.
