The Maryland Terrapins announced Wednesday that they were taking full moral and legal responsibility into the death of former player Jordan McNair. The program parted ways with its strength and conditioning coordinator Rick Court.
Now, all eyes turn to head coach DJ Durkin, who has been placed on leave by the university.
Good Morning America had an exclusive interview with McNair’s parents, Tonya Wilson and Marty McNair, Thursday morning, and McNair’s father, Marty, said that Durkin should resign or be fired.
“Yes,” McNair said emphatically. “Absolutely. He shouldn’t be able to work with anybody else’s kid. … You send your kid away from college for them to be developed into young people. … Of course, he should be fired.”
