The Tennessee Volunteers face the Florida Gators up next on the schedule in what could be a very competitive matchup with two intriguing quarterbacks in Hendon Hooker and Anthony Richardson.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel shared his views on the signal-caller he’ll be going up against on Saturday in Neyland Stadium.

“First of all, he can throw the football… He’s big, physical, and imposing,” Heupel said in his press conference on Monday.

Richardson is quite the physical prospect at 6-foot-4 and 232 pounds. He’s got a sky-high ceiling as a potential first-round NFL Draft selection in the future and has been especially impressive where arm talent and athleticism are concerned.

He has some strides to make as a passer, but considering Richardson is only a sophomore, there is still plenty of time for him to grow and develop in that area. To this point in the season, he’s completed 53.2% of his passes for 423 yards with four interceptions. Richardson has rushed for 134 yards with three scores on the ground.

It will be interesting to see how Richardson performs as the Gators and Volunteers kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 24 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
