Kaiden Prothro will choose between Georgia, Florida and a few other top programs on Saturday, as the top 25 recruit and No. 3 tight end in the country is set to bring his recruitment to an end.
If Bulldogs and Gators fans were looking for hints about where the 2026 recruit may end up, they’ve so far been disappointed. Not that Prothro has dropped many hints, that is.
A video posted by Rivals’ Chad Simmons on Thursday, in fact, showed Prothro wearing a towel with the Florida logo and gloves with the Georgia logo during a workout. Take a look below:
Both Florida and Georgia, of course, have a rich recent history when it comes to tight ends. Florida saw Kyle Pitts develop into one of the best players in the country at that position before being taken 4th overall by the Atlanta Falcons in 2021. And Brock Bowers was a 1st-team All-SEC selection in each of the 3 years he played at Georgia, leaving the program with a pair of national championships under his belt.
Now, the eyes of Gator and Bulldog fans are on Prothro as his college decision is imminent. Florida currently has the No. 16 class in the country according to 247Sports, while Georgia comes in at No. 2.
Per On3’s Steve Wiltfong, the Bulldogs are “the one to beat” for Prothro’s services.
