Kansas City Chiefs reportedly moving Tennessee DT Kahlil McKenzie to a new position

Former Tennessee DT Kahlil McKenzie took a risk and entered the 2018 NFL Draft as an underclassman.
Sure, he’s plenty talented, but his career never met the high expectations everyone thought coming to Tennessee as a 5-star prospect. Following the firing of Butch Jones and the hiring of Jeremy Pruitt, McKenzie thought it was best to enter the draft.
That risk paid off Saturday when the Kansas City Chiefs drafted McKenzie with the No. 198 pick overall, but interestingly, ESPN analyst Louis Riddick said on the broadcast that the Chiefs are switching McKenzie to OG.
“I don’t think they are moving him to OG,” Riddick said on ESPN. “I know they are moving him to guard.”
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, McKenzie certainly has the size and frame to make the position move. Learning a new position against the best players in the world will take some time, obviously.
McKenzie is the son of Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie.
