Kavion Broussard, former Ole Miss OL, transfers to Arkansas after 1 season in Oxford
Kavion Broussard is transferring to Arkansas to beef up the Razorbacks’ offensive line depth for 2025, his agents told Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of 247Sports on Monday.
The mammoth 6-foot-6, 310-pounder from Louisiana was a big part of Ole Miss’s 2024 signing class. He was a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports, was the 52nd-ranked offensive tackle and the 20th-ranked player out of the state of Louisiana. But after just 1 season in Oxford when he didn’t even appear in a game, Broussard is apparently taking his talents to another SEC school that can use the depth along its offensive line.
Broussard chose Ole Miss coming out of high school over offers from Mississippi State, Missouri and Miami, among other colleges.
He is viewed as a versatile offensive lineman with the ability to play at both tackle and guard. Broussard reportedly chose to transfer to Arkansas over offers from Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Arkansas State, Miami and Marshall, among other schools.
Broussard heading to play for the Razorbacks shouldn’t be viewed as a surprise. He visited the Arkansas campus on Thursday and on Friday listed the Razorbacks as a potential landing spot. Now 3 days after that, Broussard is reportedly heading to Fayetteville to try to get some playing time and be a factor for Arkansas in 2025.
