The Kentucky Wildcats are set for another massive SEC test on Saturday night with the No. 21 Texas Longhorns coming to town for a Week 8 SEC clash under the lights in Lexington.

Coming into this huge in-conference matchup fresh off a bye week, the Wildcats will be looking to pull off a massive upset and push their record back to .500 on the season in the process.

This is a massive opportunity for Mark Stoops’ team to turn things around heading into the back stretch of their schedule, and the team just announced the team captains who will be leading the ‘Cats onto the field against the Longhorns.

The team announced on their official X account that junior defensive lineman Mi’Quise Humphrey-Grace, senior wide receiver Kendrick Law, senior linebacker Deveron Rayner, and senior offensive guard Alex Wollschlaeger have all been named as team captains for Week 8.

Humphrey-Grace is tied for the team lead in total sacks with 2, while Rayner has racked up 28 total tackles and 1 interception so far this season. Law, who transferred into the program from Alabama last offseason, is the current team leader in receiving yards with 174, and has also hauled in 1 touchdown on the campaign.

Wollschlaeger is another transfer along the Kentucky offense, coming in from Bowling Green, where he spent 5 seasons and was named an All-MAC First-Team selection in 2024. Since coming to Kentucky, he has helped anchor an oftentimes shaky Wildcats offensive line.
