Kentucky LB Kash Daniel responds to accusations that he tried to intentionally injure Florida QB Kyle Trask

In Kentucky’s loss to Florida last weekend, Gator QB Feleipe Franks was seriously injured.
Backup Kyle Trask came in and led the Gators to a 29-21 victory, but that wasn’t without some drama, either.
After the game, video emerged that seemed to show Kentucky LB Kash Daniel twisting Trask’s ankle while getting up after making a tackle. On Wednesday, Daniel responded to those claims, as you can see below:

“Do I talk a lot of crap? Absolutely,” he said. “Do I bump a dude every now and then to get underneath his skin and talk while I’m doing it? Absolutely. It’s part of my game, it’s what I do. But am I out there to deliberately hurt somebody? Absolutely not. I’ve kept my mouth shut about it and I’ve been biting my tongue as long as I can, because that’s something I actually hold close to me. I was the victim of a dirty play, and if you don’t believe me, I have a plate of screws in my right ankle to prove that. I’ve got a scar halfway down my right leg. I’m not out there to hurt anybody.”
Instead, Daniel said he was trying to quickly pull his surgically repaired hand out from under a lineman’s body.
“I’m not out there twisting anybody’s ankles. End of story,” he finished.
