On May 8, Kentucky WR coach Jovon Bouknight was arrested on suspicion of speeding, possession of an open alcohol container, and operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence.

That put his future with coach Mark Stoops’ program in jeopardy, but on Tuesday, it seems a decision was revealed.

Per Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, the Wildcats will reportedly retain Bouknight for the 2021 season (via SBNation).

The 2020 season was Bouknight’s first in Lexington, and it wasn’t a great one for the Kentucky wide receivers. Now, though, the Wildcats have some interesting pieces at the receiver position, including returning WR Josh Ali and Nebraska transfer Wan’Dale Robinson.

The Wildcats also have a new offensive coordinator in Liam Coen. We’ll see if that opens up the passing game a bit this fall.
