Could this be the year that Kentucky beats Florida?

The Wildcats have not beaten the Gators since a 10-3 victory in Lexington back in 1986. Since that time, the Gators have won an unbelievable 30 straight games. Kentucky almost pulled out a win in Florida’s last trip to Lexington before falling 14-9 in 2015.

QB Stephen Johnson and the Wildcats are well aware of the streak and want to put an end to it. Johnson made an appearance on the Paul Finebaum Show to discuss the upcoming matchup, and he said the Wildcats are ready to go:

“It’s huge,” said Johnson. “We’ve just been going one week at a time, and now we’re finally Week 4 against Florida. We can’t wait for it. Guys are hyped up. Everybody’s ready to go.”

Johnson was also asked where this game will rank on his list of games he’s played in:

“It’ll be pretty big,” Johnson said. “This is a very, very big game for us. Like I said, we’re just looking forward to it and can’t wait for this Saturday.”

Johnson has 569 yards passing, 132 yards rushing, and 4 total TDs in Kentucky’s 3-0 start this season. Kickoff Saturday is set for 7:30 pm EST on the SEC Network.
