The Kentucky Wildcats have opened up their playbook lately, running a few trick plays in recent games.
With the success of the plays thus far, the Wildcats have no plans to stop using them in upcoming weeks.
QB Stephen Johnson said mixing things up with an occasional trick play keeps things fun for the offense:
“I think everybody likes to run trick plays,” Johnson said. “I mean it makes the game a little bit more fun and obviously opens up our offense some more.”
After running a few trick plays last week against Mississippi State, offensive coordinator Darin Hinshaw said there may be more in store against Missouri this weekend:
“We’ll see how the Missouri game goes,” Hinshaw said. “We have some more tricks up our sleeves. It may be a situation where we use them. It may not be. It just depends on how the game is going.”
The Wildcats travel to Columbia to take on the Tigers on Saturday afternoon at noon Eastern time. The game can be seen on the SEC Network.
